Hi, I’m husobee. This is where I write down whatever I happen to be interested in and feel the need to express to the world — hence the name.

Most of what shows up here is software engineering:

• Go — web services, URL routing (I wrote Vestigo), middleware, concurrency, and the occasional fight with the standard library.
• Security & cryptography — PGP, TLS, protecting personal information, and notes from a master’s in information security.
• Testing — behavior-driven testing, coverage, and making documentation that can’t drift from reality.
• Distributed systems, devops & the network stack — Docker, gRPC, DHTs, tcpdump, and debugging the strange stuff that only happens under load.

And every so often something that isn’t code at all — flying small airplanes, woodworking, or a good cocktail.
